I am an Associate Professor of Business Data Analytics at West Virginia University’s John Chambers College of Business and Economics, in the Department of Management Information Systems. I joined the MIS Department in 2018 after two years in the Department of Management Science at the University of Miami (Fla.). I obtained my PhD from the University of Minnesota School of Statistics in 2016 under the guidance of Dr. Adam Rothman and Dr. Charlie Geyer. I also have two bachelors degrees from West Virginia University in Mathematics and Industrial Mathematics and Statistics.


Currently, I serve as the Co-Director of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design at West Virginia Clinical and Traslational Science Institute an NIH funded CTR focused on impacting health outcomes in West Virginia. In this role I focus on helping an amazing team support research and develop research infrastructure on health related topics in biostatistics, bioinfomatics, AI/ML, and data science spanning the space from cardiovascular disease, neuroscience, infectious disease, trauma/pre-hospital care, hospital operations, to health disparities research. My specific interest include rural health, and the development of novel machine learning tools focused on issues and challenges that disproportionately impact rural areas and health care facilities.


I teach courses in the Business Data Analytics (BUDA) program and focus on teaching statistics, data science, machine learning/AI courses that have direct applicability to industry. I also actively work as a faculty mentor with Data Driven WV which provides students an opportunity to work on real world data science, AI/ML, technology projects with organizations across the county.
